Get trained as a Horizontal Cave Guide

Responsibilities:

  • To provide park visitors with positive, enriching guided tours that foster respect for the wilderness and oneself.
  • Tours Range from 90 minutes to 3 hours in length and visit 4 unique caves. 
  • Park Act Enforcement duties and park maintenance duties
  • To provide a safe and inclusive work environment
  • To work within a team that strives for excellence

Requirements:

  • This position is open to applicants from a wide variety of backgrounds including, but not limited to guiding, tourism, geology, geography, biology, forestry, caving and those with a general interest in people and experiential learning.
  • Must be 19+ years of age
  • Proficient communication both verbal and written. \
  • Must be confident with public speaking.  
  • Minimum Occupational First Aid Level 1
  • Successful completion of in-house Guiding Certification.
  • Ability to work and live in all types of weather
  • Adaptability and flexibility during the fast-paced peak season (June-September)

Get trained as a Cave Rope Access Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Lead longer Vertical Caving adventures as well as horizontal tours. 
  • Tours Range from 90 minutes to 6 hours in length and visit 4 unique caves. 
  • Park Act Enforcement duties and park maintenance duties
  • To provide a safe and inclusive work environment
  • To work within a team that strives for excellence

Requirements:

  • This position is open to applicants from a wide variety of backgrounds including, but not limited to guiding, tourism, geology, geography, biology, forestry, caving and those with a general interest in people and experiential learning.
  • Must be 19+ years of age
  • 2 years of ropework experience (in climbing or vertical caving/canyoning).
  • Proficient communication both verbal and written. \
  • Must be confident with public speaking.  
  • Minimum 40hrs Advanced Wilderness First Aid. 
  • Successful completion of in-house Horizontal and Vertical Guide Training.
  • Must Complete BC Cave Rescue Training in May. 
  • Ability to work and live in all types of weather
  • Adaptability and flexibility during the fast-paced peak season (June-September)

Join our Visitor Services Department!

Responsibilities:

  • Operate Visitor Centre, Museum and Gear Rental Kiosk
  • Take reservations and check in guests for their tours.
  • Answer questions about the caves and help guests determine which caving experience will best suit them.
  • Enforce Park Act and help with park facility maintenance.

 Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be 19+ years of age
  • Must posses an OFA Level 1 or equivalent first aid and CPR certification
  • Must submit a criminal record check
  • Must speak fluent english

 Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent customer service, people and phone skills
  • Basic computer knowledge of spreadsheets, word documents and reservations programs.
  • Confidence working with money transactions
  • Flexibility to work long hours when necessary
  • Willingness to deal with technical challenges that come with working off grid
