Horne Lake Group Camping Facilities
* NOTE - All prices below are quoted for min. group size of 12 persons.

TEEPEE or GEO-DOME CAMPING - $5 per person, per night
Leave your tents at home! For a truly unique experience you won't soon forget, try hanging out in our native style Teepees. Traditional features such as hand-peeled poles and roll-up door are combined with modern conveniences such as raised sleeping platforms and modern materials. Or our large geo-domes offer better water-resistance and deliver more of an "adventure expedition" feel. These spacious teepees / geo-domes sleep 6 to 10 people comfortably.

GROUP TENTING - $2.50 per person, per night
If you decide not to stay in the Teepees or Domes, the camp has two beautiful areas for group tenting. Each group tenting area includes picnic tables and a communal fire pit. Camping price is included in "Explorer" packages or the site can be rented individually.

Awesome Outdoor Adventures!
The list below outlines the details of the activities we offer.
Prices are included in packages.
NOTE - Per activity prices are Group Rates for 12 participants or more.

ROCK CLIMBING / RAPPEL PROGRAMS - $26 per person *
Try the challenge of natural rock. Our most popular program is designed to provide basic experience "on-rope" in a fun and supportive environment. Excellent for beginners or as a progression from indoor climbing walls. Program choices range from easy top-rope climbs to challenging overhanging rappels and are matched with the age and ability level of the group. All participants are instructed in climbing safety and fitted with UIAA approved helmets, harnesses and climbing gear. While on the rock, climbers are secured by a safety line at all times.

"A "real-life" experience in learning to trust. We'll be back!"  Cathy Thicke - Tofino

WILDERNESS SKILLS - $19 per person *
This fun and informative program will teach the essentials of outdoor survival skills. Along the Wilderness Trail we build (and climb into) debris shelters, identify local trees and edible plants, teach basic fire lighting techniques as well as "lost proofing" and wilderness navigation. Useful stuff!

NOTE - Per activity prices are Group Rates for 12 participants or more.

CANOE AND WATER SAFETY PROGRAM - $21 per person *
Our Canoe / Water Safety program is designed to introduce students to basic canoe handling and pre-tip planning to increase their confidence and safety on the water. Paddle strokes, proper entry /exit, emergency procedures and the importance of wearing P.F.D.'s and appropriate clothing will be taught. Since almost everybody will find themselves in a canoe at some time in their lives, we feel that a little instruction goes a long way toward the safety and enjoyment of the sport. Our instructors can instruct and certify students from Level 1 (Beginner Tandem) to Level IV (Advanced Solo).

TEAM BUILDING / INITIATIVE GAMES - $19 per person *
What can you learn from "Nuclear Waste" or a "Spider's Web"? This session will run through a series of games starting with introductory ice-breakers that will assist everyone in working together. Then groups are presented with challenges that require "creative solutions". Along the way, students learn a lot about themselves and communicating with others. A great way to get everyone "in the zone".

NOTE - Per activity prices are Group Rates for 12 participants or more.

CHALLENGE OBSTACLE COURSE - $19 per person *
An excellent follow-up to the Initiative Games that puts team building and problem solving skills to the test. Teams must successfully navigate the "Alligator Swamp" by negotiating past rope swings, log crossings, and the "collapsed bridge". Nobody survives without good teamwork!

HORNE LAKE AMAZING RACE - $15 per person
Fun and excitement await on the Horne Lake Amazing Race, an adventure similar to the popular TV show but delivered in a beautiful park setting. Participants race in small groups while experiencing some healthy competition from other teams. Working together, teams try to problem-solve  a variety of outdoor challenges, navigate trails, find secret clue boxes and more. But this race will not necessarily be won by the first team to finish . . .  there is more than one way to win so check it out!

EVENING CAMPFIRE GUITAR or STORYTELLING - $7 per person
Nothing finishes off a hard day better than relaxing around the fire roasting marshmallows. Evening entertainment includes guitar sing-alongs or fascinating storytelling next to the campfire.

NATURE CRAFTS - $7 per person
An excellent "quiet time" activity that offers a balance to the full-on physical adventure. Gather your materials from the forest and be creative!

BEACH GAMES - $7 per person
Free time can include some fun play on the beach. Hours of fun playing classic games and new ones including "Capture the Flag" at night. Makes for an excellent way to fill in free time and burn up those excess calories!

NOTE - Per activity prices are Group Rates for 12 participants or more.
